M/s Sino Minerals Investments Company limited was incorporated in Uganda in 2010 as a mineral explorations and mining company.
Between 2010 and 2016, the company got involved in detailed exploration studies for for several minerals in various parts of the country namely: iron ore in different parts of Kabale and Kisoro districts, Gold in Mashonga-Bushenyi, Buhweju, and Wolfram in Nshanjare-Rubanda.
In Buhara, diamond drilling operations delineated a proven iron ore reserve of Thirty Million (30,000,000) Tons with an average grade of 58% Fe content. Subsequently, the company was granted a Mining lease number ML 1297 over the Buhara deposit to undertake mine development operations.
